报告题目:Sustainable agricultural production and eutrophication reduction in the context of climate change

报告人:英国雷丁大学 Andrew John Wade 教授

报告时间:2019年4月4日9:00

报告地点:学科1号楼S205

主持人:廖宏教授

报告人简介:Professor Andrew Wade from the Department of Geography and Environmental Science, University of Reading has more than 20 years of experience of catchment water quality monitoring and modeling with expertise in pollutant source attribution, identification of pollutant transport pathways and quantification of fluxes, and the assessment of pollutant impacts on aquatic ecosystems in rural and urban settings in different climate zones. He holds a BSc Physics (Leicester), MSc Engineering Hydrology (Newcastle Upon Tyne) and a PhD in Physical Geography (Aberdeen). He has led Natural Environment Research Council, Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council and European Union funded research teams to explore: the effectiveness of pollutant mitigation measures and their cost; novel water quality monitoring technologies; catchment biogeochemical cycling and the link to water quality, biodiversity and ecosystem services; and pollutant impacts on aquatic ecosystem health. His research has integrated water quality and socio-economic research and included stakeholder engagement. He has published over 90 papers and supervised 16 PhDs and 18 postdoctoral scientists on water quality topics. He is particularly interested in the evaluation of the relative benefits of pollutant source reduction, landscape mitigation measures and engineering solutions to improve catchment water quality, including the consequences for food and industrial production and ecosystem and human health.
