专家简介:Hang Su is a Group Leader at the Max Planck Institute for Chemistry, Germany. He received his B.S. at Fudan University and Ph.D. at Peking University. Hang Su’s research addresses key topics in atmospheric sciences: reactive nitrogen chemistry, biosphere-atmosphere exchange and aerosol-cloud interactions, which is highly relevant for the mitigation of air pollution and climate change. He has contributed to over 130 publications, including 6 hot papers, 14 highly-cited papers and 12 articles in interdisciplinary journals (6 in Science, 7 in PNAS and other highlight journals). He also serves as editors of leading journals of AGU, EGU and ACS, including Atmos. Chem. Phys., JGR-Atmosphere, Atmos. Meas. Tech., and ACS Au, and AAS. His contributions have been honored by the Highly Cited Researcher award (Web of Science, in Geoscience) and the Arne Richter Award (union award) of European Geosciences Union.


报告摘要:Atmospheric aerosols and fine particulate matter (PM2.5) are strongly affecting human health and climate in the Anthropocene, i.e., in the current era of globally pervasive and rapidly increasing human influence on planet Earth. Understanding the formation and transformation mechanisms of aerosols are key to developing mitigation strategies of aerosol pollution, climate change and the disease transmission. Here, I will take about recent advances that my group has made on the understanding of atmospheric reactive nitrogen chemistry and airborne transmission of SARS-CoV-2, and how the advance of understanding would help policymakers to optimize the control strategies.
